Narrating Structures #6. Performances and event

We are organising a closing event for the workshop narrating Stuctures 6, an evening of performances and experimentation in Apiary Studios, Sunday the 8th of March 2015.

The mentors and participants of the workshop will showcase contents along invited guests.

The events features the presentation of  piece, ’3Z.3’ by Paul Pignon (Sweden). He has been playing and composing music of almost every kind for nearly 60 years, physics degree, pioneer in EAM (since 1968). First foray into non-idiomatic improvisation in 1962 (Oxford). Has lived about equally in the UK, Yugoslavia and Sweden.

Aslo Thomas Bjelkeborn (Sweden) is presenting his short sound piece ‘Landing in Berlin’.

A performance of SQ aka Sound Quartet from Sweden with Blanca Regina. Thomas Bjelkeborn, Paul Pignon founder members of SQ aka Sound Quartet and Blanca Regina, audiovisual artists and one of the mentors of the workshop, propose an audiovisual free improvisation working with digital and analog instruments and a expanded visual experience.

We are delighted to feature a new work in process by Reuben Sutherland, Patrycja Grimm and and Rohan Thomas. They are creating visuals with zoetropes with experiments with an overhead projector, food dye and milk dye reactions. Their sound is  made in collaboration using drums, guitar, bass and synth.

A improvisation by Gorka Cortazar ( the other mentor of the workshop) features his self programmed software with a music mix by the visual artist from Klang, Wyz Borrero.

The night will also feature some of the installations and videomapping projects from the participants of the workshop.
